Lights, Camera, Action!

Drama is an artistic yet disciplined study that showcases the best Crawford has to offer. Considering the influential and spectacular Cultural Programme Crawford is accommodating, it is not a stretch to say that their drama courses are second to none. Providing a versatile learning experience, ranging from understanding the birthplace of theatre, to practising breathing techniques and improvisational skills, the Dramatic Arts is not limited to future actors and performers. Not only does it help build up confidence but it helps you to clarify yourself and be able to be convincing to future employers and colleagues.

The enthusiasm of the Crawford institution is complimented by the noble and outgoing teachers such as Ms. McHale and Mr Coldbeck. With years of experience on their hands, what better way to learn, master and perfect the art of the Silver Screen.

According to one of Crawford’s most prestigious and wisest educators, Mr. Coldbeck, drama is for anyone who wants to develop their communication skills as well as improve their confidence and general knowledge. Also, if you have a knack for history and literature, drama is the subject for you as we delve into the roots of drama.

Grade 8 and 9 students will be exposed to early forms of drama in order to temper their love for the subjects, but those who want to study it optionally will get the chances to do it both in their junior and senior phases. If you are aching to have a voice or become more independent in your work ethic Drama is the subject for you. The entire experience won’t be a breeze. In order for you to be successful in this subject you need to have superb time management skills and you mustn’t be afraid to try new things.
